Today, the heart of Cats Club Benidorm aches a little more.

Twix, our first cat, the one who started it all.

In 2020, when we were just dreaming of creating a cat rescue project in Benidorm, you arrived, with a litter of babies who needed protection and deserved a chance.

That’s when Leny and her family appeared, opening the doors of their home without a second thought. They welcomed the whole family, cared for the little ones until they found their forever homes… and when the time came, they decided to stay with you.

Even though you weren't easy, they chose you. They loved you. And thus began one of the most beautiful stories of this project: the friendship between the volunteers and Leny, which over time made Leny a fundamental part of Cats Club Benidorm.

For 6 years, you lived surrounded by love, by more cats, by your faithful companion Bobby, and by a family that gave you security, affection, and a full life.

This year, your kidneys began to fail, and this week, with broken hearts, Leny and her family had to say goodbye to you.

“We want to infinitely thank all the effort, the sleepless nights, the medications, the tears, and the immense love they gave to Twix in these last months. But above all… we want to thank you, Twix.”

You were our first example.

The one who showed us the way.

The one who, without knowing it, guided everything that is now Cats Club Benidorm.

Rest in peace, our little one.

Wherever you are, continue to be that brave and calm queen you always were.
