Dedication to Chai 💔

It took us several weeks to be able to make this post. So much has happened: litters that just kept coming, adult cats needing attention, admissions due to panleukopenia... and amidst all that chaos, Chai also left us.

Many of you will remember her. We found her abandoned in a field, with an eagle flying overhead. She was admitted shortly after due to severe diarrhea, but she rallied and returned to her foster home. A week later, she worsened again... The diagnosis was panleukopenia. Despite still being active, in such small kittens the odds were very low. She remained hospitalized, in an incubator, with IV and all possible treatments... but 24 hours later, she left us.

Sometimes, with so much hustle and bustle, there isn't even time to process things. Between emergencies, new rescues, and more sick cats, we needed time to write this with our hearts in our hands.

We just want to dedicate this post to Chai.

We are so sorry we couldn't save you. We tried absolutely everything within our power. Your foster home gave their all and cared for you with so much love. In the little time you were with us, you were very much loved.
