πŸ’”πŸΎ A Necessary Farewell in Benidorm πŸΎπŸ’”

A severely injured cat was rescued on Mal Pas beach, and due to its critical condition, the difficult decision was made to end its suffering.

Today we want to share a very sad situation that has occurred in Benidorm.

Some foreign tourists, who did not speak Spanish, were walking on Mal Pas beach when they found a cat that could not move its hind legs. Concerned for its condition, they did everything possible to contact associations and shelters through social media.

As soon as our colleagues received the alert, they quickly went to the location and picked up the animal. The cat could not move, was cold, and was breathing through its mouth… it was in a state of agony.

Another colleague immediately came to take it to the veterinarian. Due to the severity of its condition, and always thinking of its well-being, the difficult decision was made to end its suffering.

We want to clarify that for us, it is never easy to make such a decision. We are dedicated to the rescue and care of animals, and precisely for that reason, it is one of the hardest parts of our work. But we always try to do what is best for them, and on this occasion, unfortunately, the best was for it to stop suffering.

β€œThank you to those who did not look the other way and took action πŸ’” and a thousand thanks to MANOS Y PATAS, the Volunteer Group of Benidorm, for taking care of the veterinary bill πŸ™πŸ»β€
