At Cats Club Benidorm, our priority has always been and will continue to be the well-being of every cat that comes through our hands. 💜
That’s why one of our essential requirements for adoption is that windows and balconies are protected with safe nets or mesh.
“We know it would be much easier for us not to ask for this…”
We lose adoptions for this reason, and it hurts every time it happens.
But we cannot look the other way.
Because even though "nothing has ever happened," "my cat doesn’t fall," "cats aren’t stupid"…
the sad reality is that it does happen.
And when it does, there’s no turning back: fractures, serious injuries, parachutist syndrome, or worse, losing them forever.
We have already experienced this… and we cannot allow it to happen again with any of our cats.
It’s not distrust towards you, it’s responsibility towards them.
A second of distraction, a bird flying by, a noise that scares… and feline curiosity does the rest.
Protecting windows and balconies is not a whim, it’s giving them the chance for a long and happy life with you. 🌿✨
