Protecting is not taking away freedom. It is giving security, well-being, and more time by your side.
🏠 Indoor vs. Outdoor: The Decision That Gives Your Cat the Most Years
The data is clear:
• An indoor cat lives on average 12-18 years.
• A cat with free access to the street usually lives between 2 and 7 years.
Accidents, fights, FIV, FeLV, poisons, falls from balconies… These are not “possible risks.” They are the reality we see time and time again.
Every week we receive reports of cats that have gone “missing.” Cats that stepped out for a moment, that escaped through an unprotected window or balcony… and never return.
For us, rescuing an animal is not just a procedure. It is a life. A life to which we have dedicated time, resources, sleepless nights, and a lot of heart.
When that life gets adopted, we do not want to receive the message that it has gone missing. Because we know what it means: that it may never come back.
That is why we ask for nets on windows and balconies. It is not a whim. It is not “being demanding.”
It is the way to ensure the well-being of an animal that has already been rescued at least once. A cat that has known fear, the street, or abandonment does not deserve to risk its life again.
The nets do not take away freedom. They give years of life. And for us, the peace of mind of knowing that this second chance will not be lost.
If you are thinking of adopting, keep this in mind: protecting is loving.
If you already have a cat and have not yet put up protections… it is the best gift you can give them.

This little one has arrived to us with serious injuries, but he is already showing how much of a fighter he is. Tomorrow will be an important day for Kimba. Let's keep our fingers crossed. 🤞❤️

This little one, just 4 months old, was found injured and scared, but thanks to the collaboration of many people, today he is safe. Now it's time to care for him and support him in his recovery. 🐱💙

At last, we are making this dream come true! On Saturday, September 26th, you will have the chance to meet some of our kitties in person and, who knows, perhaps find your new life companion. 🐾💛
